Yonah Mountain Vineyards announces the third annual Crush Fest, a harvest celebration. Crush Fest is a one-day festival that will be held Saturday, September 1 of Labor Day Weekend, from 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the vineyards near Cleveland, GA.
Crush Fest is designed to be a fun and exciting event for all ages. Grape stomping a’ la Lucille Ball (the “I Love Lucy” show) highlights the day. New to Crush Fest this year is the Crusher 6K Vineyard Run & 2K Trellis Trail Walk/Run, which begins at 9:00 am. The Atlanta Falcon’s drum line will enliven the festival with hourly appearances. Horse-drawn wagon tours of the vineyard, tours of the winery and Georgia's only wine cave, barrel samples and wine tasting will be offered.
Area restaurants will sell foods paired with
Yonah Mountain Vineyards' wines. Live music by great local groups will perform all day. Over 25 vendors and artists will sell local products and wine related merchandise.
Admission to Crush Fest will be $20.00 for wine drinkers, $5.00 general admission, 16 and under free.
New to the 2012 Crush Fest,
Yonah Mountain Vineyards announces a trail race ON THE VINEYARD! Runners can choose between the challenging 6K CRUSHER course or the more moderate Trellis Trail 2K Run/Walk.
The Crusher 6K and Trellis Trail 2K Run/Walk take place SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 1st at 9:00 a.m. just before the annual CRUSH FEST! Entry fee for the race is $65 before July 1, which gets participants onto the course. It also covers the $20 entry fee to Crush Fest, a catered meal, and some premium swag.
The CRUSHER 6km (4 miles) is a Cross Country, Trail and Adventure Race all rolled into one event. It will feature challenging hills, gorgeous views, a couple of little surprises and a breathtaking vineyard finish at the foot of Yonah Mountain.
The Trellis 2k (1.25 miles) is on the lighter side of the running spectrum and is specifically designed
for the adventuring Wine Enthusiast who loves to walk or jog before being treated to a lovely breakfast
